Royal Mail is beating its first-class delivery targets in Sheffield, the firm has revealed.
A total of 93.7 per cent of post was delivered the day after it was sent, above the national average of 93.2 per cent for the financial year 2013-14.
It also exceeded its target for second-class post, with 98.9 per cent delivered within three working days.
The results were outlined in the company’s quality of service report, which also revealed exceeded fourth quarter targets.
Rob Jenson, Royal Mail’s operations director, said: “Our people have continued to deliver to a very high standard in the Sheffield postcode area and across the UK, against one of the highest service specifications of any major European country.
“I would like to thank our postmen and women for their commitment and dedication.”
