Organisers of a new gardening and horticulture show in Sheffield are calling urgently for more local plant sellers.
Garden Up is already linked up with national organisations like the Royal Horticultural Society and the National Trust for its inaugural event that takes place at Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens on June 7 and 8.
But organisers are keen for more local nurseries and garden centres to feel the economic benefits.
The two-day family event is set to showcase the best talent from the worlds of horticulture, architecture, landscape, art and design.
Up to 10,000 people are set to visit the event, which will boast everything from someone featured in Channel Four’s Grand Designs to Phil Hirst, who took gold at last year’s RHS Tatton park Flower Show.
Exhibitors, traders, garden centres, nurseries and other organisations will be showcasing, selling and giving advice.
The Botanical Gardens will be divided up into four main zones. One will contain a series of show gardens, another will be based around innovation, a third will house a market and the fourth will be a children’s zone.
Plant sellers should call Richard on 07891 210315.
