What does it take to create a 30-year business success story? More than a century of hard work and experience, it seems.
And that special anniversary has given CMD the chance to celebrate with some of its longest serving members of staff.
Between them, six members of the workforce have clocked up 124 years of service.
Peter Rodgers is the longest serving member of the team, looking forward to completing 25 years with CMD by the end of this year.
But not far behind him are Mark Windle with 23 years, Claire Scattergood with 21, Mandy Bulcroft with 19, and Steve Robinson and Margaret Timmings, each with 18.
“I’ve seen a lot of changes,” said 57-year-old Peter, who is an electrical operative.
“The company has grown enormously in the time I have been here and I suppose it is nice to think that I’ve been part of that.”
Established in Rotherham in 1984 and the subject of a management buyout in 2008, the company now turns over £16 million, employing over 170 people.
“We are particularly proud of a workforce who have been on this journey with us,” said Managing Director Steve Cole. “We are particularly lucky to have a loyal team.”
