Business club launch invite
BUSINESSES from South Yorkshire are being invited to attend the Sheffield launch of Yorkshire Gold Business Club, the organisation set up to ensure local firms win a share of the contracts for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Up to 250,000 contracts will be available as a result of the games, according to regional development agency Yorkshire Forward.
Glenn Mauchlen-Dobson, Opportunity Specialist at Yorkshire Gold Business Club said. "There are thousands of contracts that can be fulfilled by South Yorkshire businesses. The region boasts some unique capabilities and businesses that have the expertise to fulfil many of these lucrative contracts.
"The role of Yorkshire Gold Business Club is to help businesses find out what is available, either individually or through collaboration with others, and how they can maximise these commercial opportunities."
The event takes place at 6pm on Thursday May 14 in Sheffield's Millennium Gallery. For more information, visit www.ygbc.co.uk or call 0114 201 5730.
