Brewing up bigger sales at Thornbridge
THORNBRIDGE brewery has more than doubled its sales for the first six months of the year.
The company, which moved to a purpose built brewery in Bakewell, in September, says cask sales have been growing every month and it is on track to sell four million pints this year.
Managing director Jim Harrison said trading conditions had been tough, but the brewery was benefiting from the investment in equipment and staff that had allowed it to capitalise on the demand for Thornbridge beers.
Operational director Simon Webster added: "Our bottled beers have always been successful and popular but until recently we just could not keep up with demand.
"With the new site we can now do so and have already exported to the US, the Far East and mainland Europe with repeat orders from all areas."
