HUSBAND and wife wedding planners have been nominated as finalists in the Best Wedding Abroad awards.
Lisa and Matt Burton, from Treeton, Rotherham, run Bridal Consultant and plan more than 100 exotic destination weddings each year.
The overall winner among the five finalists will be selected by some of the country’s top wedding planners on Monday, at the close of National Marriage Week.
Lisa, aged 37, and Matt, 40, met in a Caribbean bar while working on cruise ships.
The couple worked with a wedding planner to create their own dream wedding at Gretna Green.
But after the wedding planner disappeared, forcing husband Matt to take the reins, Lisa decided there was a gap in the market and their business was born.
