Aspiring to recycle business's waste technology

An organisation that helps vulnerable and socially excluded people back into the workplace, is urging the city's business community to think green…and help a good cause.

One of Aspire Sheffield's principal sources of income comes from giving fresh life to redundant office technology.

The operation has been so successful that it needs a constant supply of unwanted computer and IT equipment to meet demand and it is now calling on the region's businesses to give it a call before discarding unwanted and obsolete items.

"Companies are upgrading their computer systems all the time. Just because your business no longer has a need for something doesn't mean we can't find a home for it," says Dave Metcalfe, general manager of the Hillsborough-based organisation.

Dave Metcalfe can be contacted by calling 0114 285 3788 or e-mailing dave@aspiresheffield.co.uk.
