Architects win design award
LEADING Sheffield architect Bond Bryan has won the education category of the Bradford District Design Awards for its innovative design of Bradford Academy.
The 20 million Academy replaces Bradford Cathedral Community College and was designed around a "Forum" where students meet to socialise and to hold debates and
Bond Bryan project architect, John Hope, said: "We have based the design on the promotion and encouragement of citizenship and created a stimulating environment."
The Bradford District Design Awards are intended to reward good design, raise awareness of design issues and encourage a visually attractive, livable and sustainable 21st Century designs.
