AES snaps up Absolute
Leading South Yorkshire manufacturer AES Engineering is expanding its pump supply and repair business after buying Sussex-based Absolute Vacuum for an undisclosed sum.
Absolute which is not far from Brighton, has become part of Rotherham-based AES Engineering’s AESPUMP division, which was founded in 1997 and serves process industries including the petrochemicals, food and drink and pharmaceuticals sector.
AESPUMP’s managing director Ian Wallace said: “Absolute Vacuum has established itself as a dynamic organisation, providing on-site and off-site service support and supplying parts and new equipment.”
Absolute Vacuum was created in 1999 by managing director Andy Taylor and specialises in systems with technical demands.
Its main expertise is in repairing rotary vane pumps and in all rotary high vacuum equipment. AESPUMP was advised by Kevin Cunningham, corporate partner at the Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell.
