Accolade for yoga training group

A Sheffield firm that provides yoga training for all ages has been named business start-up of the year at the Yorkshire and Humber Social Enterprise Awards.

Yoga4UK, based at Millhouses and run by Farah-Naz Khan, doesn't only offer traditional classes. It also provides accredited self help training courses to nurseries, schools, businesses, care homes and hospitals which give employees the skills to deliver special yoga sessions to people in their care.

Programmes vary according to the groups they're aimed at.

"Those developed for children are different than those for adults and seniors, but the emphasis is the same, with our courses offering we're simply trying to build on existing relationships and provide a basic introduction to yoga and the benefits it can offer", says Farah-Naz.

"The majority of our programmes are focused on improving the health and well being of children and their families. And all programmes have the end user at heart. They're a good, safe, starting point."
