Standards of driving, safety on board and staff appearance have all received top marks in a passenger survey of Stagecoach bus services in Sheffield.
Ninety per cent of people were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the bus operator for the appearance of its drivers.
Some 89 per cent of passengers were satisfied with safety, while availability of seats scored 87 per cent approval.
Also receiving good marks were standards of driving and accessibility of bus stops - 86 per cent - comfort and frequency of services, which stood at 85 per cent, quality of vehicles - 83 per cent - and routes, areas served in Sheffield and driver attitude all scored 82 per cent.
Satisfaction with services overall increased to 89 per cent which is 19 per cent higher than in a survey carried out in 2010.
