A NEW bus service will take visitors directly to Cannon Hall Museum in Barnsley.
Cannon Hall was recently awarded Green Flag status under a scheme that recognises the best green spaces in the country and VAQAS - Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme - by VisitEngland.
The museum, set in a country house, has been open since 1957. Is it home to an art collection that includes ceramics, glass, furniture and Old Masters paintings.
The museum is set in 70 acres of parkland, with lakes, waterfalls and a Georgian walled garden to enjoy.
A range of family events will be taking place throughout the school holidays and Cannon Hall Farm is a short walk away from the drop off point in the museum car park.
Bus route 92A, operated by Tates Travel, runs from Barnsley Interchange to the museum, which is open from 11am to 5pm Saturday to Wednesday.
