OLD folk at a Sheffield care home are hopping on board a brand new minibus.
Residents of Ascot Lodge in Intake have welcomed the addition of the specially-modified vehicle from the boss of HC-Homes.
The bus is one of a fleet of 200 which were ordered after managing director Pam Finnis appeared on Channel 4’s Undercover Boss and recognised the need to help people lead fuller lives.
She said: “The minibuses have been specially converted to become wheelchair accessible, with a new floor fitted to each for seat belt fixings, along with a tail lift, side step, blue internal lights for night travel, a skylight hatch and heating.
“We hope residents will enjoy more exciting outings.”
