A bus driver performed an emergency stop to avoid a collision with a cyclist whose wheel got stuck in tram tracks on a Sheffield road.
The incident on Langsett Road, Hillsborough, was reported to emergency services at around 2.15pm today.
A number 37 single decker service bus was travelling along the road when a cyclist in front came to a halt after trapping a wheel in tram tracks.
Brandon Jones, spokesman for bus company First, said: “A cyclist got stuck in the tram tracks and came to an abrupt halt.
“The driver travelling behind did an emergency stop so that there was no collision with the cyclist and in doing so the driver sustained an injury.
“There are no reports of injured passengers.”
