Police are warning Rotherham residents to be on their guard following burglaries for the keys to high performance cars parked outside.
South Yorkshire Police is reporting a number of break-ins and car thefts in Treeton and Brinsworth.
A spokesman, yesterday, said: "Residents of Treeton and Brinsworth are advised to pay extra attention to securing their homes when they go to bed at night or if they are going on holiday.
"In the last 24 hours several burglaries have been reported in these areas.
"We think that some of the properties are being targetted because of high performance vehicles that are parked on the driveway."
Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
