A SPATE of burglaries at insecure homes across Doncaster has prompted police to remind householders of the danger of leaving doors and windows unlocked.
Overnight, Monday into Tuesday, five houses were entered by intruders, in Carcroft, Scawsby, Hatfield, Armthorpe amd Dunscroft.
Doncaster police last night urged the public to protect their property following the sneak-in burglaries through unlocked doors.
Chief Insp Gwyn Thomas said: “We are asking the public to assist us by protecting their property and ensuring they lock windows and doors, even if they are in their home, to deter opportunistic thieves and to keep themselves and their possessions safe.”
