Burglars struck at a Sheffield city centre newsagent in the early hours and stole cash, cigarettes and stamps.
GT news on High Street was targeted in the early hours of this morning.
Today a crime scene investigation van was parked outside the shop and a police investigator left the shop carrying evidence bags.
The shop was closed first thing this morning.
A workman was fitting new locks at the shop this afternoon and a worker confirmed there had been a break-in.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “A report of burglary was made to police at approximately 4.50am on Monday, November 3, at a newsagents on High Street in Sheffield city centre.
“A quantity of money, cigarettes and stamps were reportedly taken.
“A 40-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and bailed while enquiries continue.”
