MEMBERS of the Owlthorpe Community Forum have a packed month of activities lined up.

The forum is planning walks, bulb planting and a litter pick.

One-hour-long health walks take place every Monday and Thursday.

On Mondays, walkers should meet at the bottom of the escalators in Crystal Peaks shopping centre at 10am, while on Thursdays participants should meet at Christ Church, Hackenthorpe, at 2pm.

The hour-long litter pick takes place on Saturday, November 17, and participants are asked to meet at Donetsk Way tram stop at 10.30am.

A forum spokesman said: “Help to keep the footpaths and grass verges around Owlthorpe litter-free.”

On Saturday, November 27, there will be two hours of bulb planting.

The spokesman said: “We’ve bought 5,000 daffodils and 600 tulips to add to the 40,000-plus spring bulbs already planted in the area.”

Participants are asked to bring a spade and meet on Moorthorpe Way, behind Donetsk Way tram stop, at 10.30am.
