Leeds Building Society has raised £4,000 for this year’s BBC Children in Need appeal, in a combined effort via staff fundraising at Head Office sites and the Society’s branch network including Doncaster.
The team in the Frenchgate branch have also been accepting donations to Children in Need from members of the public – along with all the mutual’s 65 UK branches.
Speaking of their efforts, Doncaster Branch Manager Richard Brunt said: “We are pleased with the response we’ve had, and would like to say a big thank you to all those who’ve supported us. It’s great fun supporting BBC Children in Need, and to know that we have assisted the Society’s overall fundraising effort in raising £4,000 for the 2014 appeal is a fantastic feeling. It’s good to know we are raising funds to help children across the UK have a safe and happy upbringing.”
Leeds Building Society’s current overall fundraising total of £4,000 could still rise further as all branches, including the Doncaster branch, will continue to accept donations for the appeal until the end of the year.
