Build a new railway system but don’t use old technology

I am against the costly build of the HS2, however I am not against the concept of a new railway system. HS2 is the wrong technology and too very expensive.

Going back on the history of this country, we invented parliament, the computer and we even invented the train. It’s about time Britain stood up and regained the lead in technology, engineering and science. Some people may consider my alternative technology a bit optimistic however I consider myself a great believer in our scientists and engineers.

HS2 will prove trains that travel at 250mph. However, realistically, it will be around 210mph. This seems fantastic and superfast but its YESTERDAY’S technology and will not be finished for nearly 20 years!

What about scrapping the technology behind HS2 and really push the limits. ETTT or ET3 Evacuated Tube Transport Technologies is literally “space travel on earth”. ET3 is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric. Many scientists and engineering experts believe we already have the technology to provide this service so why does Britain not stand up and take the opportunity to invest. China is currently testing the technology so why can’t we!

ET3 systems can travel at 370 mph from city to city, and for longer distances like from country to country ET3 can travel up to 4,000 mph. To put this into prospective a passenger or cargo can travel from New York to Beijing in two hours.

The cost of HS2 is going to cost around £80billion however according to et3.com the cost of ET3 can be built for 1/10th the cost of High Speed Rail, or 1/4th the cost of a motorway.

The maintenance and running costs is far cheaper as ET3 can provide 50 times more transportation per kWh than electric cars or trains.

I would like to see the Government take this into consideration and really think outside the box!
