WHAT a smashing lot!

These ladies decided they wanted to do a bit of something to help some of the British Army’s most admired soldiers.

The K-Bugs - short for Kiveton Bungalow User Group - have been collecting for Help For Heroes and the Gurkhas. And they ere absolutely delighted when Major Patrick ‘Patch’ Reehal, 34, of the Royal Logistics Corps, and commander of 10 Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment, called to see them.

The Major and four serving members of the regiment dropped in to the Kiveton Park Centre in Viking Way to meet members of the group and thank them for their support.

Vivienne Wood, 66, who lives in Viking Way was delighted they did.

She said: “It was great to meet them.

“We gave them each a parcel of food we had collected and £100 which they handed over to the Combat Stress charity.”
