IT was action all the way during a wonderful week of activities for youngsters staged by students from Sheffield’s two universities.

A series of free events featuring amazing experiments and crazy challenges took place in the Winter Garden and Millennium Square as part of a campaign titled Dream Bigger Dreams.

The events also aimed to showcase the contribution students make to the city.

Sheffield University’s School Laboratory team ran fun science-based activities with Professor Fluffy, the cuddly toy academic, who took children and teenagers on a medical learning journey with interactive workshops such as ‘how cold can you get’, featuring an exciting demonstration of liquid nitrogen.

There also was the chance to have a go at Chinese painting and demonstrations of break, street and belly dancing and martial arts.
