THESE wild paintings created by youngsters to raise awareness of endangered species have been getting admiring looks from shoppers.
Seven children, all aged 11, from Winterhill Young People’s Centre in Rotherham, worked with eco artist Sarah Yates to create four pieces spanning more than 20 metres each.
The endangered animals, featured include snow leopards and polar bears, inspired by the Planet Earth photographic exhibition held in Sheffield last year.
The artwork is on Cumberland Street in Sheffield city centre.
“It was good to learn about endangered species and to make other people aware of this problem,” said Elisa Hurley, one of the young artists.
