A TEENAGE motorcyclist has been left fighting for life after a collision with a car.

The 17-year-old was injured as he pulled out of Nursery Drive, Catcliffe, into the path of a Volkswagen Golf travelling along New Brinsworth Road.

Police said the biker was thrown from his bike and landed in the road - suffering head, leg and arm injuries.

He was rushed to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

The driver of the Golf, a 21-year-old man from Brinsworth, escaped unharmed.

Witnesses to the collision at 1.45pm yesterday should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 496 of March 22.
