A 16-year-old girl from Sheffield has been arrested in connection with the murder of Joe Walker.
She is currently in custody and due to be questioned by detectives, police confirmed.
Today a 17-year-old boy has also appeared in court charged with the murder of Joe, aged 23.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court this morning where he was remanded into custody.
The case has been referred to Sheffield Crown Court with the next hearing due to take place on Wednesday October 9.
Mr Walker, from Intake, Sheffield, was found on land off Raynald Road, Manor, during the early hours of Saturday.
A post-mortem revealed that he died from a single stab wound.
A police spokesman said: “Officers investigating the murder have today also arrested a 16-year-old girl.
“The 16-year-old girl, from Sheffield, has been detained on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender.
“She is currently in custody and is due to be questioned by detectives.”
