A second arrest has been made over the murder of a man hit by a car after a row in a South Yorkshire street.

A second arrest has been made over the murder of a man hit by a car after a row in a South Yorkshire street.

Detectives investigating the death of 37-year-old Richard Broughton in Elsecar, Barnsley, have today arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of violent disorder.

Mr Broughton died yesterday after he was struck by a car in Welland Crescent, Elsecar, Barnsley, just before 7pm on Friday.

A 23-year-old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.
