A planned strike by workers at Tata Steel on Monday over pensions has reportedly been suspended.
Steel workers at Tata Steel did unanimously vote for strike action over plans to close the British Steel pension scheme and make employees work five more years to get their full pension.
The firm is one of South Yorkshire’s biggest employers, with more than 2,000 workers in Rotherham and Stocksbridge.
70 per cent of those balloted by Unite backed strike action, on a turnout of 66 per cent.
