TRAIN services in South Yorkshire are disrupted this morning after cable was stolen from the railway network in Rotherham.

The theft is causing a signalling problem near Fitzwilliam, according to National Rail Enquiries.

CrossCountry, East Coast, East Midlands Trains and Northern Rail are the train operators affected.

The Leeds to Derby; Leeds to Peterborough and Leeds to Sheffield services are affected, with delays of up to 20 minutes expected.
