AN air ambulance has lifted a man with ‘serious injuries’ to hospital after a road smash in Sheffield.
The crash between a lorry and van on the A57 Rivelin Valley Road, at its junction with Rails Road, happened at 5.45pm.
Fire crews attended and Yorkshire Air Ambulance took the man to Northern General Hospital.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said he had ‘serious injuries’.
Police have closed the road at the junction with Rails Road.
