Drugs and cash were seized in a series of raids carried out across Doncaster this morning.
Officers executed seven warrants at addresses in Aldesworth Road, Cantley, and Weston Road, Aldam Road, Victoria Road, and Wordsworth Avenue in Balby.
A total of 34 cannabis plants were seized, as well as growing equipment and a quantity of what is believed to be amphetamine.
A “substantial” quantity of heroin was also seized from a wooded area near Aldesworth Road.
Four men, aged 21, 39, 44 and 46, were arrested and are currently being questioned by officers in Doncaster.
A 41-year-old woman was also given a caution for production of cannabis.
Pc Gerald Dawson, from Doncaster’s Urban Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Acting on intelligence, this morning we executed search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act and, as a result, four men are currently being questioned on suspicion of production of cannabis and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
“Drugs are a blight on hard-working communities across Doncaster and can cause untold misery for families.
“We would urge anyone with any information on drugs in their communities to call us on 101 or ring Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
