BREAKING: Body found in search for missing South Yorkshire man

A body has been discovered in the River Don during a search for a missing South Yorkshire man.

Officers recovered the body from the River Don in Rotherham at about 10.55am this morning, and while formal identification has not yet taken place, police believe the body may be that of missing man 32-year-old Daniel Higgs.

Daniel’s family have been informed of the discovery and are being supported by specialist officers.

The 32-year-old was last seen when he left his home in Rotherham on November 24.

Daniel's family issued a public appeal calling for his safe return during a press conference held yesterday (December 12).
