A BUNGALOW was destroyed in a blaze which ripped through the property while the owners were out last night, firefighters have revealed.
The fire on Drury Lane, Dore, started in the kitchen and spread to the dining room, hallway and roof.
The windows shattered in the heat.
Firefighters searched the property looking for occupants and found the family pet dog inside, which could not be revived.
The owners turned up while firefighters were tackling the blaze.
