Break-ins spark a security plea

A HOUSE on Argyle Road, Meersbrook, Sheffield, was broken into after an intruder got in through an insecure window. Police are investigating the break-in overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday last week.

A sat nav system was stolen from the glovebox of a car parked on Woodseats Mews, Woodseats, Sheffield, overnight on Thursday into Friday.

A laptop computer was stolen from the boot of a car parked on St Andrews Road, Nether Edge, Sheffield, overnight on Wednesday into Thursday.

And a spate of shed and outhouse break-ins around Halfway, Beighton and Owlthorpe have led to police issuing a warning to residents to improve their security.
