TWO university students on a snowboarding holiday had their home in Sheffield broken into while they were in France.
Ryan Williamson, aged 19, and pal Rob Weitz, 20, of Guest Road, Hunters Bar, received a phone call from their other two housemates who were out when their home was burgled. Two laptop computers and a PlayStation 3 games console were taken.
The holidaymakers are “gutted” because they were not insured.
Ryan, who is studying journalism at Sheffield Hallam University, said: “It appears whoever did this was knocking on doors on our road looking for homes with nobody in.
“They kicked their way in through our door and took electrical items.
“We are gutted because we weren’t insured. Other students living nearby need to be aware this is happening.”
