More than 100 people enjoyed a day of Brazilian themed celebrations at a centre for vulnerable people.

A football match, along with a barbecue and Samba dancing, were staged at St Wilfrid’s Centre on Queens Road.

Staff from the Halifax bank branch in Meadowhall shopping centre also handed over a cheque for £6,530 towards a residential project at St Wilfrid’s.

Director Kevin Bradley said: “It was an absolutely lovely day for everyone and just another example of all the things we do at the centre.”
