Boy, 15, hurt in quad bike crash

A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital with a fractured leg and wrist after the quad bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car.

The 15-year-old and his 14-year-old passenger were travelling along Berners Road, Arbourthorne, Sheffield, when they were involved in a collision with a Mercedes C200 at the junction with Arbourthorne Road.

Police said the car, driven by a 33-year-old woman, had been travelling towards Gleadless Common and the quad bike is believed to have failed to stop at the junction.

The injured quad bike rider, a local boy, was taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police on 101.
