A SHEFFIELD businessman has spoken out in favour of development of the new High Speed Rail network, and against ‘myths’ by the campaign to stop the network.
Tim Hale, chairman of city-based Champion Hire, said: “I understand how important it is for businesses to invest for the future. High Speed Rail will eventually be of massive benefit and I am pleased that this campaign is working hard to set the record straight. I hope businesses across the region will make their voices heard and stand up for high speed rail.”
The Yes to High Speed Rail campaign has rejected claims the business case for the network is ‘over-optimistic’ and that it costs too much money in a recession.
