A BARNSLEY company is reporting a record growth in sales despite the turbulent economic climate.
Barugh Green-based Cutting Technologies, which laser cuts and engraves a range of materials, has revealed its turnover has increased by 20 per cent in the first half of the year.
Jane Robinson, co-founder of the firm, said turnover for the current financial year is expected to top £3 million, up from £2.6m.
She said: “Our growth figures for this year are already surpassing our expectations.
“We’ve made considerable investment in marketing in the last few months and it’s great to see that investment is already beginning to pay off.”
She said the company had received finance which allowed it to buy two new, state-of-the-art lasers last year.
