Sheffield Wednesday host Barnsley on Saturday in a crucial relegation six-pointer and BetVictor make Wednesday 20/21 on favourites, Barnsley 10/3 and the draw 5/2.

Despite Wednesday being on a run of nine without defeat, The Tykes shouldn’t be taken lightly. They battled to a 2-2 draw with Blackburn midweek and, although languishing in 23rd place, Danny Wilson’s men are unbeaten in their last three league games.

With both sides desperate for a result the both teams to score bet looks sure to kop at 20/23 (No 19/20) and those wanting to nick a bit of value will be inclined to back their respective side in the win and both teams to score market; the Tykes 7/1 and Wednesday 31/10.

A draw would suit both sides and keep both respective unbeaten runs intact; the 1-1 correct score looks a good price at 13/2 with BetVictor. Wednesday are without Conor Wickham who has returned to Sunderland but 7/4 to re-join the Owls before the end of the January transfer window. Barnsley have signed Nick Proschwitz on-loan from Hull City until the end of the season; he is 17/2 to score the opener and 5/2 to net anytime.

Doncaster Rovers moved four points clear of the Championship relegation zone with a 3-0 win over free-falling Charlton Athletic. Billy Sharp was making his third home debut for the club and it was Lawrie Wilson’s foul on the returning striker that saw the Addicks go down to ten men and effectively surrender the game.

The win lifts Donny up to 19th and moves Charlton into the bottom three for the first time this season, Chris Powell’s side with just one win from their last 10 league games. Rovers meanwhile have momentum on their side and have been eased to 5/4 (from 8/11) to go down and odds-on at 4/6 to stay up.

Rovers host Middlesbrough on Saturday looking for a third consecutive win at the Keepmoat but BetVictor make the guests 21/20 favourites, Rovers 11/4 and the draw 13/5. Despite Boro being in good form on home soil (four straight clean sheets) Paul Dickov’s side look fantastic value to build on wins against Wigan and Charlton and look to be improving with every game.

Chris Brown, three goals in his last three games and he looks the value to sink Boro, 8/1 to open the scoring and 9/4 to score any time.
