A DONCASTER man has been ordered to pay almost £220 after using his wife’s blue badge to park in the town centre.
Terence Allerton, of Scarth Avenue, Balby, parked his car in a disabled spot at College Road in January using the blue badge which had been issued to his wife. She was not with him at the time.
Doncaster Council took the case to court and he was fined £60 and ordered to pay costs of £159 by magistrates. A council spokesman said people should not be tempted to use a friend or family member’s badge.
