CHILDREN from a Doncaster nursery have been digging deep for Marie Curie Cancer Care this week by planting daffodils for the charity’s Mini Pots of Care fundraising activity.

Youngsters at Little Cherubs Day Nursery, Wheatley, have helped to raise funds for the charity by growing a daffodil and taking it home in return for a small donation.

Wendy Gibson, nursery nurse at Little Cherubs, said: “We think it’s such a lovely idea and the best part is that the children get to keep their very own daffodils.

“We are delighted to be raising funds for the Marie Curie Nurses so they can keep providing more and more free care.”
