Bloody menu takes cleave of its senses
IT'S not your average finger buffet!
These gruesome gourmet platters are being served up to terrify crowds at Sheffield's annual Fright Night - and scare them into making donations to help a children's group.
Samantha Walker and her son Isaac, aged 11, of Taplin Road, Hillsborough, are heading to the event in the city centre on Sunday October 26 dressed as 'Hell's Kitchen' chefs.
Wielding meat cleavers, they will be carrying ghastly dishes piled with severed arms, bloody fingers, eyeballs, rats and spiders.
The pair are supporting Ray of Hope, a group in north Sheffield for children with autism or learning difficulties and their families.
Isaac, who has Asperger's Syndrome and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is among those benefiting from its work.
Samantha said: "We attend Fright Night every year and dressed as Hell's Kitchen last time, too. It went really well so we're doing it again, only with even better costumes.
"I've made us both white chefs' hats, shirts and aprons, and splashed them with fake blood. And we'll be wearing strings of light-up eyeballs around our necks!"
And there's a shock in store for anyone foolish enough to go near their silver platters.
"If they dare grab hold of the severed arm, it'll grab them back!" warned Samantha.
