FIREFIGHTERS spent nearly six hours tackling a blaze at a former vicarage in Barnsley.
The blaze on Vernon Road was reported to emergency services at around 4.45pm on Thursday, and firefighters remained at the scene until 10.30pm.
Police had to close the road while crews tackled the flames.
At the height of the blaze there were around 20 firefighters at the scene.
An investigation is underway.
