FIREFIGHTERS had to cut away roof tiles to put out a blaze which broke out at a house in Dronfield.

The fire started in a two-storey property on Caldey Road, and crews found the first floor well alight when they were called out at just before 11pm.

Firefighters stripped away ceiling tiles and roof tiles, damped down the flames, and ventilated the property.

All the occupants of the house were accounted for and there were no casualties.

Crews from Dronfield, Chesterfield, and Lowedges fire station in Sheffield all attended the scene on Monday night.
