Young Sheffield United supporter Tommy Smith has been handed a bum deal - after Sheffield Wednesday's shock cup win over Arsenal earned him a painful appointment with a tattoist's needle.
Tommy, aged 15 and from Worksop, promised on Twitter to get a tattoo of Stoke striker Peter Crouch on his backside if the Potters beat Chelsea in the Capital One Cup last month.
They did, on penalties, and Tommy's promise went viral after it was picked up by Crouch himself.
But Blades fan Smith also made a similar pledge if the Owls toppled Arsenal at Hillsborough - pledging to get internet prankster Callux's face inked on his rear if Wednesday won. They did too, 3-0, and Smith was left red-faced.
"I was really confident Arsenal would batter Wednesday, and Chelsea would beat Stoke," the teenager said.
"I thought I'd get away with it when Stoke won... I never thought Crouch would see the tweet!
"But I didn't stop there, either and the next thing? Wednesday 3, Arsenal 0. So when I'm old enough, I have to go through with it and have Callux and Peter Crouch inked on me.
"How did Wednesday beat Arsenal? And Stoke beat Chelsea? I had so much confidence tweeting those two!"
Smith has since been invited onto Sky Sports show Soccer AM, where he announced on-air that he would be going ahead with the ink on his 17th birthday. He has even been invited back onto the programme in two years, to show it off.
Tommy’s mum, Claire Smith, told the Worksop Guardian: “Tommy isn’t the kind of person to go back on his word- a promise is a promise.
“We couldn’t believe it when he was invited onto Soccer AM. He was a bag of nerves before he got there but had the time of his life.
“It’s his favourite TV show, one he watches every single week. And before he knew it he was in front of the camera mingling with his idols and appearing in national papers- all because of one cheeky tweet.”
