It’s turf at the top - as guests at the opening of DVC Sports’ brand new AstroTurf surface at Dearne Valley College’s Manvers campus discovered.

Sheffield United’s Joe Ironside and George Willis attended to officially cut the ribbon alongside Dearne Valley College Principal Martin Harrison, who gave a speech of thanks to those involved in the supplying and installation of the new surface.

MP for Wentworth and Dearne John Healey attended to support the launch of the refurbished facility.

Speaking about the addition, he said: “The college and its sports centre have made a significant investment in their high quality AstroTurf facility.”
