A DIEHARD Sheffield United fan donned rival colours in the name of charity.

Kate Chapman, a volunteer at St Wilfrid’s Centre, Queens Road, Sheffield, wore Sheffield Wednesday’s blue and white strip to raise cash for its latest project.

St Wilfrid’s, which supports homeless and vulnerable people in the city, hopes to get enough cash to open a residential unit.

Kate was persuaded to wear Owls’ colours after her friends pledged cash to the charity. Kate and friends also ran and cycled around Rother Valley to mark her 40th birthday, bringing the total raised to £500.
