SHE’S lived through two world wars - and now she’s celebrated her 100th birthday.
Kathleen Cartwright was surrounded by family and friends as she celebrated at Cedar Care Home in Balby.
And Doncaster’s ceremonial mayor Christine Mills dropped by to congratulate Mrs Cartwright, born in 1912, and hand her a birthday card from the Queen.
The celebrations were organised by the birthday girl’s daughter Jean Norman and staff at the care home, of which Mrs Cartwright’s younger sister Joyce Nicholson is also a resident.
Speaking about the party Mrs Cartwright’s brother George Nicholson said: “It was absolutely marvellous.”
