NEW steel artworks being installed in a South Yorkshire village include a magpie, heron, swallow and a swift.
The installations are being put up in Laughton Common, Rotherham, in a project funded by building firm Persimmon Homes. The sculptures were created by villagers with artist Gillian Brent.
The sculptures are being installed on Hangman’s Lane, Outgang Lane, Rotherham Road and Meadow Street.
Resident Pat McLauchan said: “We are really pleased to see the sculptures installed.”
