IT’S amazing the things you can see in your garden.

And that’s why residents at Broomcroft House Nursing Home on Ecclesall Road South have their binoculars at the ready for Bupa’s Wildlife Week this week. Staff at the care home have built a hedgehog house and created a birds’ corner following advice from the RSPB.

Broomcroft House is also appealing for volunteers to lend a hand in the garden.

Helen Close, care home manager, said: “Everyone can get involved, observing birds on feeders from the comfort of their armchairs or planting new flowers.”
